BeeJay, real name Brian Jonas, is a hip-hop artist and producer. Born on 5th June 1997, BeeJay is the first born in a family of 3 (two boys and a girl). He has been to New Era high School (2011), Michiru View Secondary School (2011) and Bwaila Secondary School where he wrote his MSCE in 2014. He studied went IT at St John Paul IT Institute in Blantyre then later went on to study study Pharmacy at Malawi college of Health sciences. His music career started from inspiration of various artists like Atumwi, Jolly Bro, the Dare Devils and Phyzix in 2009. He then started writing songs and recording in his bedroom, called it 'Self Made records' (SfM) ,people liked his music in the hood, he knew he had potential to bring something out, he then made a music gang in his early secondary school level known as ‘Track Movement’ which had artists like Y.P.K (in Zambia now), Fred (in India now) , Nafter in Area 22, and Fredson (schooling at Bunda) and they made songs like Celebration & Never Go Back (produced by T.k more ). This clique scattered when they got out of school as everyone concentrated on their individual careers.
