Nonhlanhla Matilda (born 08 January 2001), professionally known as Barbie Matildah is a South African recording artist, performing artist, song-writer, presenter, actress, promoter, influencer and etc. Born in the scenic province of Mpumalanga, Barbie's artistic journey began to take shape during her formative years.

She attended Crystal Park High School, where she laid the foundation for her future success. Seeking greater opportunities, Barbie relocated to Gauteng to complete her high school education. This strategic move not only enhanced her academic pursuits but also provided access to a vibrant music scene, ultimately fueling her passion for the craft.
